Audience Profile

After thinking about who we want our music video to be aimed we came up with the following description;

My video would generally be aimed at people ranging from around 15 right through to the age of about 26, they will be both male and female. I think that this is a good catchment area and they will, at this age, they should have similar interests and music taste.
Our 'common' viewer would be, either male or female, fall within the age range of 15-26 and also be heavily into their music. They will all hopefully be looking for something different and querky in a music video, howevers still encorporating the common convetions and would like to see some links between the lyrics and storyline. Generally, the male side of the audience would be watching films that are Comedy, e.g. Shaun Of The Dead however they would obviously like action films for example James Bond, and films such as The Godfather. The female audience would be watching films such as Love Actually, Anchorman and also Step Brothers.  I would say that generally the male audience would be shopping at places such as urbanindustry, wellgosh and karmaloop, however on the other hand I would still include shops such as Zara and H&M. For the female audience I would say that they would shop at places such as Topshop, Zara & Urban Outfitters. I believe that they would be looking pretty similar to the people that I have shown above in terms of fashion sense. These are infact members of bands, Viva Brother & student at Hinckley Music college Jamie Hives.

Jamie is a 19 year old from Lutterworth, he currently attends Hinckley Music College, he takes great interest in not only his music but his style. Jamie is the ideal person to produce an audience profile on as he is clearly heavily into his music as he is currently a member of an up and coming band named 'Junior Fencing Club'. The band is of a similar genre of the band we are likely to produce a music video for, this is again ideal as it means that Jamie is heavily influenced by this genre of music, so much so that he has created his own band.  It also means that Jamies style is influence by this genre of music and it is this individual style that we are aiming out music video at. Due to Jamie's interests and music taste he would probably enjoy the video that we will produce. This year Jamie attended the festival benicassim which is a massive music festival in Spain, boasting such acts as The Streets, The Strokes, Artic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, Friendly Fires, Elbow, Primal Scream and Bombay Bicycle Club. Jamie has also attended other festivals such as Reading festival in 2009.
